Am in the west coast so we have about another two and half hours for 2008 but nevertheless, I wish everyone a HEALTHY 2008 that brings everyone happiness and joy.
I couldn't spend time with my family this New Years, including my lovely mum, since I have what most you probably have too... the flu. Seems like that thing is going out everywhere.
So, I decided to stay home with my cousin, whose joining the Army this year, we cooked up stakes and are watching a few movies and when midnight hits were going to light up some Cubans he got from a buddy of ours. Fuck yeah!!!!
Well, that's pretty much it, guys...
ROCK ON!

The Winner Is...
I live in a town, Los Angeles, a town that other people from other towns frown upon.
We are known for our fake breasts, our fake calves, our celebrity scandals, our traffic, our always sunny weather, and most importantly our Caramel Macchiato. You see, even with all these false, well some, misconception of Los Angeles, this is still MY town.
But, behind all this so-called glitz and glamour, hides a Los Angeles organization that is used to being frowned upon from other towns in other states. Yes, am talking about the Lakers, an organization that doesn’t know what they want and doesn’t know what to do. A first time in 28 years…
Am not used to what am hearing, am not used with all these demands that I hear from Kobe and from our Laker fans, and am not used to all these e-mails we get in our inbox from desperate fans that want immediate changes by any means necessary. “Get rid of Bynum!” “Trade Kobe!” “Keep Kobe!” “Get Garnett!” etc, etc…
You know what I want? I want championships, damn it! I don’t care how we get them and who we trade from our team to get them, only if the conclusion brings another Larry O’Brien trophy to our town of greedy bastards. I loved the feeling I had for three straight seasons and I want that feeling again. I miss that feeling. Am I greedy for wanting a feeling that other fans from other teams have never experienced? Hell yeah, I am. And I don’t care.
A Brief History of GetGarnett.com
This post was publish on the Lakers Nation on May 14, 2007.
What a crazy few days this has been for the creators of GetGarnett.com.
We never expected to have this much exposure in this short amount of time. Hell, we weren't even expecting any sort of exposure at all. We were just looking to create a site by fans for the fans. A blog that can keep the Laker fans updated on a daily bases, with articles and original content.
It all started, late Thursday night when LD2K, hZm, and I were in line to watch the midnight screening of Spiderman 3 (meh.), when they told me the idea of the website. I was immediately into it. We started throwing ideas around (some of these ideas still haven't been put to effect, btw) on what sort of content we should have. We knew this could be something special that people would really get into.
Less then 48 hours later, I had built the website and hZm had created the images. Soon after, LD2k threw up his article and the next day he had the intro video for the website ready. We then started to post the GetGarnett.com link to all Laker forums and websites, spreading the "Get Garnett" movement, I would say.
By Monday, we were already been mentioned by two blogs.
By Tuesday, we already had over 100,000 thousand hits to the website.
However, it was on Wednesday, when the Loose Cannons had a caller (Thanks, Jamie!) who mentioned the website. . . twice! We didn't know who the guy war nor did we tell him what to say. He believed in the Get Garnett movement enough that he wanted to give us a big plug.
LD2k immediately called my cell, screaming that somebody mentioned OUR little website on the radio. "Dude!" was the only words that I could mutter to him. This couldn't get ANY better, we thought to ourselves.
Alright, I didn't want to finish writing this if most of you aren't interesting how GetGarnett.com stared, so if you guys leave me some positive feedback and are curious to know more. . . I'll finish the article. If not, I'll just bury this in the "lame" category. ;-)
Peace.
meh.
Hello, and welcome to my inkernet home. As some of you know, I used to have a blog over at TheNugg.com; however, that never really worked out for obvious reasons... I was lazy and didn't admit it then. Well, that is about to change this time around - I will get lazy with updates, don't expect daily posts. Just enjoy what little I have to offer to you.
